The Institute of Agricultural Science in Kangwon Province is taking effective measures to improve nutrition of rice crops to suit to the conditions of areas and fields.

The institute produced lots of liquid compound fertilizer and sent it to cooperative farms to improve nutritive conditions of rice crops in a short period.

The Institute of Agricultural Science in North Phyongan Province made sure that co-operative farms actively introduced effective watering methods to ensure maximum root activation of rice crops, and conducted the work for making various bio-growth stimulants on the spot.

The institutes of agricultural science in South Hwanghae and South Hamgyong provinces make tangible contributions to the increased grain production by introducing growth stimulants to cooperative farms, while keeping them abreast of the changing abnormal weather conditions and corresponding agricultural technical measures through video-conferencing and tele-conversation system for exchanging farming techniques.
