The researchers of the institute buckled down to developing the technology from over 10 years ago to widely spread the new species, which is tasty and nutritious.

Their strenuous research led to the cultivation of a new species which has high per-hectare yield and has been acclimatized to the climate not only in the central region of our country including Pyongyang but also in the areas south of it.
