The Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex pushes ahead with building an energy-saving oxygen heat blast furnace and other projects to strengthen the foundations for production.

The Chollima Steel Complex pushes forward with the work for consolidating the production foundations including the building of a gas producer and introduction of the technology of blowing pulverized coal with oxygen into the UHP electric arc furnace.

The Hungnam Fertilizer Complex gives precedence to the supply of equipment, accessories and materials while putting efforts into the overhaul of the ammonia compounding process.

It also presses ahead with the project for expanding the production capacity by accelerating the preparations for trial operation of a newly built boiler and a gas producer.

The February 8 Vinalon Complex concentrates on the work for cementing the production foundations such as remodeling of salt-dissolving ground and overhaul of carbide furnaces on the strength of self-reliance and science and technology.

The Sinuiju Chemical Fibre Mill directs efforts to home-production of reagent necessary for putting the production on a normal footing while accelerating the remodeling project.
