The province has directed efforts to cementing the material and technical foundations of its tree nurseries under a bold plan since the outset of this year, the first year for implementing the new Five-Year Plan.

The provincial forest management bureau mapped out realistic plans for wild fruit tree sapling production in each city and county and properly organized the work for their implementation.

Cities and counties prepared lots of organic fertilizer and humus soil, applied various plant growth stimulants and microbial insecticides and ensured good growth conditions, thus producing healthy pine-nut, hawthorn and vitamin-tree saplings.

They also increased the rate of rooting of tree saplings by introducing advanced cultivation methods and taking measures for preventing damage from insects.
