Memento Telling History of Great Person
Pyongyang, September 30 (KCNA) -- On display at the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the sacred temple of Juche, in the DPRK is a motorboat "Chungsong (loyalty)" No. 1603 Chairman Kim Jong Il used till the last period of his great life.

This ship is a witness of history conveying the patriotic devotion of the Chairman who made a ceaseless journey of field guidance even through rough sea.

From September Juche 67 (1978) to October 2011, the Chairman used it more than 500 times to inspect military units and various economic sectors.

Recorded in its voyage log are lots of stories about what kind of danger and hardship the Chairman underwent for the sake of the servicepersons and civilians.

At dawn of Sept. 19, 1991, all vessels anchored at shores after receiving typhoon warning. At that time, the wind velocity was 15-18 meters per second and the wave height 3-4 meters. But the Chairman got on board to visit a unit.

On January 12, 2010, the biting cold unusual in 70 years was recorded. But he visited a unit of the People's Army by the ship with commanding officers.

The total length of course of journey he made by the ship for 30-odd years is at least 34,488 kilometers.

Recalling his great life devoted to the prosperity of the country and the people's happniess, the DPRK people are now striving to accomplish at an early date the cause of building a socialist power so much desired by him.
