Third Quarter Plan Fulfilled in Fields of Coal Industry and Railway Transport

Pyongyang, October 3 (KCNA) -- The third quarter plan for coal production was carried out due to the labor struggle waged by coal miners for implementing the tasks set forth at the 8th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea and the plenary meetings of the Party Central Committee, according to data available at the Ministry of Coal Industry.

Coal miners at the Tokchon Area Coal-Mining Complex, the Sunchon Area Youth Coal-Mining Complex, the Pukchang Area Youth Coal-Mining Complex, etc. have over-fulfilled their daily plan, thus successfully carrying through their quarter plans.

The third quarter plan of the Ministry of Railways for freight transportation was also over-fulfilled thanks to the efforts of workers in the field of railway transport.

Officials and workers in the fields of coal industry and railway transport are putting spurs to the drive for increased production and haulage to carry out this year's plan in hearty response to the policy speech made by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un at the 5th Session of the 14th Supreme People's Assembly.
