Attending the meeting were Pak Ku Ho, first vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) who is also director of its Organization Department, Jo Il Yon, vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the Chongryon, Ri Song Chol, director of its Economic Department, and members and representatives of the commercial association including Chairman Paek Kyu Yong.

The meeting discussed and decided the orientation of work and tasks for the 25th-term Central Standing Management Board of the commercial association to play a leading role in ushering in a new heyday of patriotic movement.

Pae Chang Ryol, chairman of Central Standing Management Board of the association, made a report on its work.

He referred to such successes made by the 24th-term Central Standing Management Board as further increasing the role of the organization and consolidating the single-minded unity by giving the fullest play to the spirit of officials of the association.

He brought forward 6 major tasks, saying that the commercial association set it as the general orientation of the work of the 25th-term Central Standing Management Board to further rev up the overall atmosphere of the Korean community in Japan by strengthening all its basic organizations into more vibrant ones.

Speeches were made by officials from different organizations under the commercial association.

The general meeting elected Choe Pyong Ho as chairman of the commercial association and Song Myong Nam, chairman of its Central Standing Management Board.
