Attending the event were Pak Yong Il, chairman of the Central Committee of the Korean Social Democratic Party, Pak Myong Chol and Kim Wan Su, presidium members of the Central Committee of the Democratic Front for the Reunification of Korea, officials of the Council for the Reunification of Tangun's Nation, officials concerned and working people in Pyongyang City.

They performed an ancestral rite for Tangun.

He highly praised the patriotic exploits of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il who founded the ancestral father of the Korean nation and demonstrated the excellence of the nation far and wide.

He referred to the fact that the dignity and prestige of our socialist state have been put on the highest level and the new era of self-respect and prosperity and the era of our state-first principle unprecedented in the nation's history spanning 5,000 years has opened on this land thanks to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un possessed of rare wisdom and outstanding political caliber.

He called for turning out as one in building a prosperous country and accomplishing the cause of national reunification by carrying out the important tasks set forth at the historic policy speech made by Kim Jong Un at the 5th Session of the 14th Supreme People's Assembly, bearing in mind the national pride and self-confidence of holding the outstanding great man as the father.

He stressed that our fatherland would shine long as the great and dignified state and a prosperous power in the world thanks to the tested guidance of Kim Jong Un and the single-minded unity of all the people.
