Seasonal Sowing of Wheat and Barley Seeds Finished in DPRK

Pyongyang, October 16 (KCNA) -- The nationwide seasonal sowing of wheat and barley seeds has been finished thanks to the devoted efforts of agricultural officials and workers all out in the campaign for implementing the administrative policy of the DPRK government.

Officials of the agricultural guidance organs in all the provinces, cities and counties scrupulously organized the work for choosing the right soil, expanding the sowing area and making all the farms sow seeds in a sci-tech way.

Agricultural workers in Pyongyang City expanded the sowing area by 1.8 times larger than last year and carried out the sowing of seeds ahead of schedule by dovetailing the processes.

All the provinces secured the high-yielding varieties of wheat and barley acclimatized to regional climatic and soil conditions, and finished the sowing in a short span of time by ensuring good conditions for sprouting.
