The exhibition was aimed at making a tangible contribution to improving the people's living standard by stepping up the production of August 3 mass consumer goods, true to the decisions made at the 8th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea and the administrative policy of the DPRK government.

Displayed at the exhibition were 630 kinds of over 17,000 building materials, light industry goods and food and consumer goods produced by factories and enterprises in the province.

Making a round of the exhibition, officials and working people in the province were full of enthusiasm to register bigger successes in the production of consumer goods, cherishing the validity and vitality of the Party's policy on domestic production and recycling.
