Five-colored Granite Used in Construction
Pyongyang, October 25 (KCNA) -- Five-colored granite is a natural monument in Tanchon City, South Hamgyong Province of the DPRK.

This granite consisting of feldspar, quartz, amphibole and black mica has tinges of red, blue, yellow, black and white.

It is 70-80 meters long and 150 meters high and its lower part is soaked in a brook.

Five-colored granite rare to be seen in the world is precious resources used in the production of building parts.

In recent years, the Kwangchon Mine under the General Bureau of the Tanchon Area Mining Industry has exploited five-colored granite abundant in Tanchon area and supplied to construction sites across the country.

This natural stone of high quality is used in coating floors and handrails to enhance the aesthetic value of interior of architectural buildings.
