All the commanding officers and shock brigade members of 216 Division turned out in the third-stage project for sprucing up Samjiyon City made the shining achievements of concluding the construction of all the dwelling houses they were tasked to fulfill by braving the grim weather conditions in the northern part and difficulties in the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance.

The construction of 10-dongs and ris of single-storey, small-storey and multistory modern dwelling houses in good harmony with the natural undulation built at the foot of Mt Paektu has turned the holy place of the revolution into the modern socialist villages good to live in.

Meetings for moving to houses were held in Rimyongsu-dong, Sinmusong-dong, Ohomuldong-dong, Phothae-dong, Poso-ri, Thongsin-ri, Paeksam-ri, Junghung-ri, Hunggyesu-ri and Sobaeksan-ri from October 20 to 27.

Present there were Vice Department Director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea Kim Jong Song, Chief Secretary of the Ryanggang Provincial Party Committee Ri Thae Il and officials and working people of Samjiyon City, commanding officers and shock brigade members of 216 Division.

At the meetings the speakers said that modern dwellings were built one after another in the area of Mt Paektu thanks to the warm loving care of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un who is making ceaseless journey of devoted service for the people's wellbeing while readily undergoing pains for the people.

The speakers said that the builders of 216 Division, always upholding the Party Central Committee's leadership with death-defying practice, turned Samjiyon City on the northern tip of the country into villages of high civilization under socialism through unrelenting struggle in the spirit of Mt Paektu and the spirit of self-reliance.

They extended thanks to Kim Jong Un who is showing boundless benevolence for the people in Samjiyon City, always having them deep in his mind.

They vowed to spruce up the holy land of the revolution as the socialist utopia, upholding the great Party Central Committee with their pure conscience and obligation as befits the frontline soldiers safeguarding the noble traditions of the Korean revolution.

Licenses for the use of houses were conveyed to house owners.

As the moving to new houses began, the villages were wrapped in holiday atmosphere with joyful dancing parties, and laughter and songs of people's happiness resounded far and wide in the clear and blue sky of October.

Officials visited families that moved to new houses to congratulate and share joy with the owners.
