Peerlessly Great Men's Devotion for Development of Taekwon-Do

Pyongyang, November 10 (KCNA) -- Taekwon-Do, orthodox martial art showing the Korean nation's spirit, wisdom and stamina, is widely disseminated amid the interest of the world. Its development would have been unthinkable without the guidance of the peerlessly great men. President Kim Il Sung put Choe Hong Hui, ex-president of the International Taekwon-Do Federation who had devoted himself to the development of Taekwon-Do, forward as a patriotic man of will. And he set forth the task for popularizing Taekwon-Do, saying that every Korean should be able to play it. Chairman Kim Jong Il saw to it that the Taekwon-Do Hall was built in Chongchun Street of Pyongyang, and guided the work to create and disseminate Taekwon-Do exercise for health, Taekwon-Do for the elderly and Taekwon-Do for children. He put forward as heroes the Taekwon-Doists who proved successful at international games, and took steps to increase the ranks of Taekwon-Do instructors and make them disseminate Taekwon-Do throughout the world. True to the intention of the Chairman, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un led the work to complete the Taekwon-Do Holy House wonderfully and gave important instructions for developing Taekwon-Do on a nationwide scale while injecting fresh impetus to its development. Thanks to the wise guidance of the peerlessly great men, the orthodox martial art of the Korean nation could shine in the world and the Taekwon-Doists of the DPRK have displayed its honor of being the home of Taekwon-Do at the Taekwon-Do World Championships and other international games. |
