Monument to Kimilsungia Unveiled in Indonesia

Pyongyang, November 14 (KCNA) -- A monument to Kimilsungia was unveiled with due ceremony at an orchid greenhouse of the Bogor Botanical Garden in Indonesia on November 10. Seen at the venue of the event were photos showing the exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il in developing the friendly relations between the DPRK and Indonesia and a photo of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un together with children. Present there were personages of the parliament, government and political parties, including the People's Consultative Assembly, the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle and the Foreign Ministry, and the Indonesian ambassador to the DPRK. The DPRK ambassador to Indonesia was also present there. Personages from political, academic and economic circles of Indonesia and other countries like Australia and New Zealand and members of organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people attended the event through video teleconferencing. A Korean film on Kim Il Sung's visit to Indonesia was screened at the event before the unveiling of the monument. The monument carries letters saying that on April 13, 1965, President Kim Il Sung and Leader Kim Jong Il of the DPRK visited the greenhouse where the then President Soekarno gave a name of Kimilsungia to the most beautiful orchid newly cultivated by the greenhouse to represent the august name of Kim Il Sung. A video clip sent in congratulation of the unveiling of the monument was screened and speeches were made at the event. |
