More than 50 workteams and sub-workteams under the Sericulture and Silk Industrial Bureau became high-yielding units for producing 500 kilograms of cocoons per hectare of mulberry field. And 900 bumper sericulturists emerged out of whom over 30 have produced more than one ton at the maximum.

Especially, officials and workers in Songha Cocoon Co-op Farm in Songgan County of Jagang Province have had the honor of being a high-yielding farm by waging a strenuous struggle.

In the province, high-yielding units which have produced over 500 kg of cocoons per hectare number over 20. And bumper sericulturists total above 60 and several of them have produced above one ton.
