Fish-breeding farms in South Phyongan Province released much more fry in rivers and lakes in the region than they had planned.

The fish-breeding farms around Lake Yonphung in particular increased the survival rate of fry by setting up grounds for breeding Hermetia illucens to meet the scientific and technical requirements and solving the problem of protein-rich food which is important in fish farming. Thus, they released millions of fry in Lake Yonphung this year.

Officials and staff members of the Sinwon County Fish Breeding Farm successfully fulfilled their plan for releasing fry by providing sufficient conditions for them.

The Huichon City Fish Breeding Farm of Jagang Province released 1.5 times more fry than last year.

Fish-breeding farms in other areas also released lots of fry in rivers and lakes after providing firm foundation for increasing the production of fry.
