Under-Rock River in Mt Okryon-National Heritage Site in DPRK
Pyongyang, November 24 (KCNA) -- The under-rock river on the slope of Mt Okryon, listed as a national treasure, is in Pujon County, South Hamgyong Province.

Being in the upper stream in the steep river valley in the southwestern part of Mt Okryon, this rare river is the largest of the similar rivers in the country.

Part of rocks from the peak of Mt Okryon moved down the valley, featuring nature's wonder.

No water is visible and only sound of running water is audible under the rocks with about 10 degree inclination.

The rocks are 4-5 m thick on average and the length of the site is 15-20 m. It is 2 km including the part hidden under vegetation.

The site holds academic significance in studying mountain glaciers.
