After setting a target for updating the institute in the first year for implementing the new five-year plan in order to consolidate the material and technical foundation for veterinary and anti-epizootic field, true to the decisions made at the 2nd Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the province has dynamically pushed ahead with the remodeling.

It has excellently remodeled the room dedicated to the history of the institute, hall of culture, laboratory, etc. and provided equipment to the institute, thus laying a foundation for improving the veterinary and anti-epizootic work.

It has built a new hostel and planted many fruit trees to spruce up the appearance of the institute.
