The academy has developed prop timber binder and introduced a new propping method to maintain pits more safely.

It has also perfected an effective method with high coal-mining rate.

Researchers worked out a new design for improving the function of electric loader and made high-frequency induction heating apparatus needed for making parts of rock-drill to introduce it into coal mines. This helped shorten the time taken for making the parts and save much electricity.

It has also provided sci-tech foundations for ensuring the domestic production of the end of chisel for rock-drill.

Officials and researchers of the academy, after choosing practical subjects, work in cooperation with field engineers to make achievements conducive to the coal production.
