Research for Hi-Tech Development Intensified in Universities in DPRK

Pyongyang, December 9 (KCNA) -- High-tech development bases in different universities distinguish themselves in solving the sci-tech problems arising in the implementation of the new five-year plan for national economic development. The High-Tech Development Institute of Kim Il Sung University dispatches various research groups to worksites so that they can perform scientific research propelling the national economic development, while directing efforts to the work for developing advanced technology. The institute developed various kinds of programs based on artificial intelligence technology including a program helpful to economic operation and guidance and a program for information security, thus making a tangible contribution to putting the national economy on an IT basis. It promotes the research for local production of communication equipment, the research for updating the existing advanced technology and high-tech products and the research for producing new high-tech products and developing and introducing all sorts of analytical equipment. The Mirae Sci-Tech Center of Kim Chaek University of Technology is concentrating efforts on the high-tech research for developing information technology, nanotechnology, new materials and new energy. Other high-tech development bases in different universities actively step up the development, production and introduction of high-tech products. High-tech development and production of high-tech products by universities get further vitalized in combination with the work for the integration of education, scientific research and production. |
