There is a saying that time expunges everything from one's memory. However, the Korean people are unanimous in saying that they could not forget the Chairman's noble love for the people and their yearning for him grows stronger as the times go by.

One day in September Juche 100 (2011), the Chairman visited the newly built Pothongmun Street Fish and Meat Shop and came to know about people's view of the processed meat products before anything else. At that time, an official of the shop said with a mind to give pleasure to him that they are in great demand among foreign embassy members.

Then, the Chairman asked again if our citizens liked them. The official replied that those products are favored by the citizens, women in particular. Just then, he expressed his satisfaction.

That day, he also visited the Pothonggang Shop serving citizens with various kinds of fruits on the opposite side. After going round the shop, he said with a bright smile on his face that he recovered from his pent-up fatigue.

Indeed, the happiness of the people is just his pleasure and delight.

That's why Chairman Kim Jong Il is still kept in the mind of the Korean people as a benevolent father.
