She was born into a poor peasant family in the days of the Japanese occupation and experienced the painful grief of an enslaved nation. After the liberation of Korea, she could live a life of devotion to the new country founded by President Kim Il Sung.

She returned the benevolence of the country with decades of dedicated farm work and even after retirement she continued to do work conducive to the economy of the country.

Enjoying soy-bean food, she continues to do housework and tend her garden in good health with optimism.
