Pyongyang, December 17 (KCNA) -- Many stories telling the close ties of kinship between civilians and servicepersons have been conveyed in the DPRK. Among them is a story about an impressive meeting between Cha Kyong Su, a winner of Kim Il Sung Youth Honor Prize, and Ri Sin Ae. Nearly 20 years ago, Ri Sin Ae, a three-year old girl, came to fall from the 18th floor of an apartment due to her carelessness. Having witnessed her falling from the apartment, Cha Kyong Su, a soldier of the Korean People's Army, stretched his arms to rescue her. When his body was recovered, the soldier quietly left for his unit after writing a letter wishing the girl would grow up well. After that, Ri's family moved into another house and Cha was transferred to other unit. That's why they could not meet any more. But Ri made ceaseless effort to find the savior of her life and many people including officials of people's government organs helped her in finding him. After all, Ri came to meet Cha in nearly 20 years. Hung on a wall of Cha's house is a picture he had taken with little Ri after he rescued her. Visiting his house, people wanted to know the story of the picture, but he didn't tell about his deed of self-sacrificing. Cha told Ri that their reunion could be realized thanks to the efforts of grateful people and to the thankful socialist system. The impressive news about their meeting was widely introduced through media. |
