On December 22, Juche 103 (2014), Kim Jong Un visited the farm to acquaint himself with its production and management in detail. Saying that the farm is a patriotic legacy left by Chairman Kim Jong Il, he set forth a task for remarkably increasing the catfish production true to the behests of the Chairman.

It is the Party's determination to turn the Pyongyang Catfish Farm into a model and standard farm in the piscicultural field of the country, he stressed. And he gave a precious instruction for realizing it and personally solved all problems arising in the farm's modernization.

In October next year, he came to the remodeled Pyongyang Catfish Farm again. Enjoying a bird's-eye view of the farm, he expressed great satisfaction over the fact that it has turned into an excellent farm, another wealth conducive to the improvement of people's diet.

He gave an instruction on building in each province such modern catfish farm which is put on a high-level scientific, intensive and industrial basis. He also stressed that the catfish farms should markedly increase the production through a socialist emulation so as to make the people get benefit from them.

Thanks to his energetic guidance, the Pyongyang Catfish Farm could be turned into a model and standard one for the pisciculture field of the country. It has supplied lots of catfish to public catering establishments in the capital city of Pyongyang.
