Planned Projects Pushed ahead at Last Stage

Pyongyang, December 20 (KCNA) -- The Ministry of Fisheries in the DPRK has reinforced its material and technical foundations under a plan. Its primary effort was focused especially on speeding up the renovation and modernization of fishery stations across the country and the construction project for coastal structures and facilities. The Kim Chaek Fishery Station completed the repair of hundreds of meters of breakwater, while carrying out the work to finish the construction of a breeding ground within this year. The Tanchon Dockyard concluded the first-stage project for modernization and expansion of its capacity and is now making preparations to fulfill the second-stage project it worked out on a scientific and realistic basis. The ministry mapped out a construction project to further invigorate fish farming in the future and is securing the building materials in a farsighted way by tapping all internal reserves and potentials. With the projects for consolidation of material and technical foundations going on in full swing, a bright prospect of increased seafood production is being opened. |
