Present there were Ju Chol Gyu, vice-premier of the Cabinet and minister of Agriculture, Ri Tu Song, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned and officials of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea and officials of those units which took part in the emulation.

Officials and working people in the field of fruit farming had conducted the socialist emulation for producing more fruits this year, the first year of the implementation of the new 5-year plan, in response to the decisions set forth at the 8th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Han Jong Hyok, chairman of the Central Committee of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea, made a report on the review.

Then the standings of the drive were announced.

Citations in the joint name of the C.C., WPK and the DPRK Cabinet and rotating silk banner of the socialist emulation were awarded to Pukchong County and the Toksong Apple Farm and the Onchon Fruit Farm.
