The gymnasium with a 1,000-seat stand has a multi-purpose sports ground for Futsal, basketball and volleyball and other events, lounges for players, a physical training room and a sci-tech learning space, which will help develop mass sports.

An inaugural ceremony took place on the spot on December 21.

Attending it were Pak Chang Ho, chief secretary of the North Hwanghae Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, sports officials, sportspersons, employees of the gymnasium and working people in Sariwon City.

An inaugural speech was made by Im Hun, chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
