The chairman of the Latin American Institute of the Juche Idea, who is director-general of the International Institute of the Juche Idea, made a keynote speech at the seminar.

He said that the greatest exploit of Kim Jong Il is that he comprehensively systemized the Juche idea founded by President Kim Il Sung and developed and enriched it as required by the times, stressing that thanks to him, the popular masses could dynamically accelerate the cause of global independence with the perfect guiding idea in the era of independence.

Speeches were made by the chiefs of Juche idea study organizations and friendly and solidarity organizations with the Korean people in Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil and Costa Rica and other personages.

Saying that a radical turn was brought about in the development of the Workers' Party of Korea after Kim Jong Il started his work at the Party Central Committee, the speakers praised the exploits of the peerlessly great man who developed the WPK into a party in which the steel-like unity and cohesion were realized and into an experienced and tested political general staff guiding the socialist cause.

They also noted that Kim Jong Il pursued the original Songun politics in the days when the imperialist allied forces' moves to isolate and stifle the DPRK got further undisguised and thus led the struggle for defending socialism to a brilliant victory and provided the firm foundation for building a power.

Adopted at the seminar was a letter to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
