Chairman Kim Jong Il Remembered in Asia
Pyongyang, December 25 (KCNA) -- An Asian online seminar on the theme of "Immortal Exploits of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il" took place on December 15 on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of his demise.

Attending it were the members of the Asian Regional Institute of the Juche Idea (ARIJI), honorary guests and Juche idea followers.

A keynote speech was made by Mukesh Sharma, secretary general of the ARIJI, and an opening address by Kenichi Ogami, secretary general of the International Institute of the Juche Idea. Then, speeches were made by Harish Gupta, director-general of the ARIJI, W. A. Duminduwardane, vice-director general of the ARIJI and chairman of the Sri Lanka Society for Self-Reliance Studies, and M. Qamrul Huda, honorary chairman of the Bangladesh Institute of the Juche Idea, and Javed Ansari, secretary general of the Pakistani Association for the Study of Self-Reliance Studies, who are directors of the ARIJI.

The speakers praised the exploits of Chairman Kim Jong Il who enriched the Juche idea with his distinguished ideological and theoretical wisdom and led the revolution and construction to victory under the uplifted banner of Juche for many years and thus provided the eternal foundations for building a powerful socialist country.

They said that Kim Jong Il, who made a great contribution to the Korean revolution and the cause of global independence, will always be alive in the hearts of all people, lauding his history of leading the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), in which he developed it into a powerful vanguard organization and the guiding force of the Korean society.

Adopted at the seminar was a letter to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
