Successes Made in Construction This Year

Pyongyang, December 29 (KCNA) -- Proud successes glorifying a period of great prosperity in construction have been made in the DPRK in Juche 110 (2021), the first year of the new five-year plan. In January and February, the Pyongyang Electronic Medical Appliances Factory and the Sinpho Canned Fish Factory were remodeled and the Unjong Tea Factory was newly built. In North Phyongan Province, construction and reconstruction projects were pushed ahead. Thus, the North Phyongan Provincial Children's Camp and the North Phyongan Provincial Quality Analytical Institute took their shapes, and inaugurated in November and December were such objects as the Army-People Ryongchon Pig Farm, the Kusong Chicken Farm, the North Phyongan Provincial Condiments Factory, a stevia processing factory and a dairy cattle farm. The Hamhung Kimchi Factory, the Pukchong Pig Farm and a swan corral of the Kwangpho Duck Farm were newly built in South Hamgyong Province, while Power Station No. 4 of the Huchang Mine, the Hyesan Kimchi Factory, the Paektusan Spring Water Factory and the Huichon Tile Factory were completed in Ryanggang and Jagang provinces. Startling construction speed was created in the projects for building 10 000 flats and the Pothong Riverside Terraced Residential District in Pyongyang and dwelling houses in Komdok area. And wonderful houses were built at the flood-hit areas in South Hamgyong Province in a short period. Modern single-, low- and multi-storied houses appeared in ten dongs and ris of Samjiyon City, a model of mountainous towns under socialism. There took place moving into new houses in different parts of the country, including Jagang Province, Kaesong City, Phyongwon County of South Phyongan Province and the Ryongmaedo Tideland of South Hwanghae Province. Such happy event as moving into new houses could be brought under the wise guidance of the Workers' Party of Korea which regards it as the most important affair to provide the people with more stable and civilized living conditions. |
