The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un in the message extended warm compatriotic greetings to the chairman and all the officials of Chongryon and other compatriots in Japan vigorously advancing toward a new heyday of the movement of Koreans in Japan on the occasion of the New Year 2022.

Last year, Chongryon and Koreans in Japan fully demonstrated once again the true picture of Chongryon, which is strong and firm by dint of ideology, virtue and affection, while braving all manifold challenges and threats even under the unprecedentedly dreary situation of an alien land, the message noted.

Kim Jong Un extended warm thanks to all the Chongryon officials and Koreans in Japan who adorned the year 2021 with patriotic journey and dedicated their invariable loyalty to the national reunification, development and prosperity.

He said in the message that the New Year 2022 is a great auspicious year in the Korean nation's history that will greet the 110th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung and the 80th birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il and a year of historic advance when a big stride should be made for socialist construction and the overall development of the movement of Koreans in Japan.

This year, Chongryon should hold Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in high esteem and glorify the 25th Congress of Chongryon as a meeting of single-minded unity, succession and innovation, dedicate itself to the sake of Koreans in Japan and more strikingly prove the validity and vitality of the Juche-based idea on the overseas compatriots' movement in practice by waging a vigorous patriotic movement with the infinite power of the broad masses of compatriots, the message said.

In this auspicious year, our Party and the DPRK government will devotedly implement the policies awaited and welcomed by all the compatriots, including the provision of a stronger legal guarantee for defending and ensuring the rights and interests of the overseas compatriots, true to the behests of the President and the Chairman, the message pointed out.

The message hoped that the beloved Korean children and students in Japan would grow up lively and stoutly and that peace and happiness would settle in all compatriots' families in the hopeful New Year, too.
