Kim Il Sung Square brightened by a special stage and colorful decorations was full of citizens.

The songs "My Great County" and "Pyongyang Is Best" resounded at the venue of the New Year performance.

The performers sang high praises of the immortal feats and greatness of the Workers' Party of Korea that ushered in the era of new development and prosperity and the era of our state-first principle on this land with the politics based on the people-first principle.

The atmosphere was revved up by the youth songs which represented the spirit of the patriotic youth.

The performance climaxed with a large chorus "Cheers of the People" which reflected the all-people emotion to live with dignity in boundless glory and happiness of holding the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un in high esteem, at the square nearing the first start of the hopeful New Year.

The performance, which was run through with the joy, optimism and excitement of greeting the New Year, ended with large choruses and dances "We Are the Happiest in the World" and "Snow Is Falling on New Year's Day".
