Pyongyang, January 1 (KCNA) -- In the DPRK society, beautiful traits of taking warm care of others and sharing weal and woe can be found in any place, and many stories about them came into being. Among them is a story about Pak Su Ryon, a disabled woman soldier living in Sinchon County, South Hwanghae Province. She got burnt on face during her military service, but she restored her original face after seven years of treatment and made a home. When she returned home, she could hardly go outside because of her burnt face. At that time, villagers and her alumni took care of her tender-heartedly. Nevertheless, she was overwhelmed with grief that she could not restore her original face forever. But her grief was relieved by the devoted efforts of officials of the Sinchon County Party Committee and medical workers of the General Dental Hospital under the Ministry of Public Health and the Korea General Red Cross Hospital. She received several rounds of plastic operation to regain not only her face but also vitality of life. When she was under medical treatment, many people she had never seen before took care of her with warm affection. Not long ago, Pak made a happy home amid the blessing of many people in the county including the manger of the county food administration station who admitted her into his station. On the wedding day, she and her husband sang a song "We Are the Happiest in the World" in praise of the socialist country where all the people form a great harmonious family. |
