Workers in Metal Industry Field Starts First Campaign in New Year

| Pyongyang, January 2 (KCNA) -- The workers in the field of metal industry made the first great stride in the New Year after receiving the fighting programme set forth at the 4th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea. The workers of the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex started the first campaign in the New Year, determined to produce iron and steel as planned by further perfecting our-style method of iron production in a technological way and giving priority to supplying raw materials and fuel. The workers of the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex raised the hot wind for collective emulation in the first campaign after completing the Juche-based production processes scientifically and technologically. The campaign for increased iron and steel was also pushed forward at the Chollima Steel Complex. The first steel-tapping began on Jan. 1. |
