Encouraging the working people of the complex who devotedly defended the dignity of the Party Congress with increased iron and steel production last year, he implanted the basic idea and spirit of the 4th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the WPK into them and stressed the need to raise the elated fighting spirit.

Referring to the importance of the duty the complex assumed in this year's advance for providing the firm foundation to implement the five-year plan at the furnace shop and steel shops, he called for waging a high-pitched drive for increased production through meticulous equipment and technical control with strict preparations and through technical innovation movement.

The field consultative meeting stressed the need to carefully organize operation and command for unconditionally accomplishing this year's goal for iron and steel production in line with the decision made at the plenary meeting of the Party Central Committee, and discussed measures to push ahead with the expansion of capacity and modernization stage by stage.
