In his report made at the meeting, the respected General Secretary importantly emphasized that South Hwanghae Province, the biggest agricultural province in the country, should take the lead in the country's agricultural production.

Now, the agricultural officials and workers in the province are full of zeal to translate into brilliant reality the fixed will and resolve of the Party to completely settle the food problem of the country in the near future through increased agricultural production.

Mindful that high yield is mainly guaranteed by the scientific farming, we will consistently maintain the scientific farming-first principle. And we will widely introduce high-yielding seeds resistant to disastrous abnormal climate and push ahead with the work for boldly changing crop distribution to expand the cultivation area of paddy rice, dry-field rice and wheat.

Paek On, management board chairman of the Naejung Co-op Farm in Yomju County of North Phyongan Province, said:

To actively cope with the unfavorable climatic conditions getting more serious is very important in rapidly increasing the agricultural production at present.

For the stable and sustained development of the agricultural production, we will introduce high-yielding species of crops, establish a scientific farming system and method for coping with the disastrous abnormal climate and energetically push ahead with the work to put the agricultural production on a high-level IT basis.

For the present, we will map out a detailed plan for this year's farming preparations and vigorously conduct the work for sharing and disseminating the successes and experience of advanced units.

Thus, we will hit the target of grain production this year, the second year of implementing the five-year plan, without fail and steadily glorify the honor of high-yielding farm.
