In the morning of the New Year, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un met meritorious workers and labor innovators who performed distinguished feats in the struggle of the first year for implementing the decisions made at the 8th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea and had a significant photo session with them.

Seeing this news through newspapers, all the people in the country could hardly repress their emotion and deep gratitude for the General Secretary.

Ri Chang Hyok, a workshop head of the Pyongyang Building Materials Factory, told KCNA:

I was deeply moved to look at the benevolent image of the respected General Secretary warmly shaking hands with the meritorious workers and labor innovators.

He had been on the road of devoted service for the people's wellbeing the year round for the new development of socialist construction. It is none other than him to receive the greeting of thanks from the people. But he first extended warm greetings to the ordinary working people and bestowed favor on them. I could not repress my tears, seeing the meticulous love of the great father.

I will actively contribute to the comprehensive prosperity of our-style socialism by unconditionally implementing the militant task set forth at the 4th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Party Central Committee, following the example of the meritorious workers and labor innovators who became the cornerstone and unbounded power in supporting the state and struggled with death-defying spirit.
