Support to Metal Industry in DPRK

Pyongyang, January 6 (KCNA) -- Officials of the ministries and national institutions in the DPRK have conducted the active support to the metal industrial sector from the outset of the year, true to the idea and spirit of the 4th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Party Central Committee.

They launched a campaign for collecting lots of scrap iron. An array of trucks loaded with hundreds of tons of scrap iron headed for the Chollima Steel Complex on Jan. 5.

At the complex, those officials offered aid materials to its workers and helped unloading scrap iron. They asked the workers to produce much more iron and steel for socialist construction sites.
