Innovations Witnessed in Forestry Sector in DPRK

Pyongyang, January 7 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers in the forestry sector exert their efforts on winter forest timber production, true to the decisions of the 4th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Forest timber producers of Jagang Province take the lead in the production.

Forestry stations and mine pillar production stations under the Forestry management bureaus in Ryanggang and South Hamgyong provinces over-fulfill their daily plans by pushing ahead with lumbering and tiller cutting and increasing the operation rate of vehicles.

Forestry stations and mine pillar production stations in other provinces register good production results every day.
