The noble and civilized lifestyle and moral traits based on collectivism are fundamental to Korean-style socialism as they ensure its vigorous progress and development. This was proved once again through last year's struggle.

It is the intention of our Party to turn our country into the one that is protected and developed by morality, not by law, while giving precedence definitely to the moral cultivation over the economic construction in socialist construction.

The ideal powerful country, the socialist society desired by the Korean people, is a society in which they lead a comfortable and harmonious life in good health and without any worries about food, clothing and housing. It is also the people-oriented society in which all the people help and lead one another forward and share joy and sorrow, displaying communist traits and virtues.

Steadfast is the determination of the Workers' Party of Korea to turn the country into the one of fine virtues by more firmly preparing all the people ideologically, culturally, mentally and morally and by making sure that such social traits - one for all and all for one - pervade the whole society.
