Contained in the programme are the tasks and ways for turning all the farm villages across the country into highly-civilized ones appropriate for the image of the socialist country.

The agricultural workers in the country are now striving to turn their rural communities into affluent and cultured socialist ones possessed of modern technology and civilization.

Seen in every co-op farm are agricultural workers turning out in the all-people general march for the prosperity of the country, under the slogan "For New Victory of Socialist Rural Construction!"

So Won Sik, who volunteered to work at a co-op farm of Nampho City last year, told KCNA:

After receiving a new fighting programme for the socialist rural construction, my heart is filled with confidence.

The targets to be attained in the socialist countryside are to enhance the level of the agricultural workers' ideological awareness, make a rapid development of the agricultural productivity and bring about fundamental change in the living environment of the countryside.

We, young people, have an important duty and role to play in the historic work for certainly putting the country's agriculture on the beam of steady development and bringing about great changes of rural communities. I will devote my wisdom and passion to implementing the Party's new programme for the socialist rural construction.
