Mun Chol, chairman of the C.C., Socialist Patriotic Youth League, made a report.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the WPK, highly praised the youth, for many of them volunteered to work in difficult and labor-consuming fields and became the paragons of admirable virtues and traits last year when the Party Congress was held, terming such high morale of the youth a remarkable success, the reporter recalled, adding it is an expression of the respected General Secretary's deepest trust in the youth.

The reporter went on:

There are many countries in the world and each country has the young people, but there are no such young people as the confident and happy youth of the DPRK who are advancing proudly toward a bright future of socialism full of confidence and optimism under the motherly care of the respected General Secretary.

The reporter called upon the young people across the country to fully demonstrate the might of the socialist patriotic youth in the new year's grand march for accelerating the overall development of Korean-style socialism and bringing about the happiness of the people, single-mindedly united around the respected General Secretary.

Oath-taking speeches were made there.

Speakers expressed their will to add glory to the honor of being members of the youth vanguard in the efforts for crowning this year with the auspicious revolutionary events to be recorded in the history of the country by going all out for implementing the decisions made at the plenary meeting, as befits the young vanguard in the great era of Kim Jong Un.

A letter of pledge to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.
