Pro-reunification Patriotic Fighter Receives Birthday Spread
Pyongyang, January 19 (KCNA) -- Pro-reunification patriotic fighters of the DPRK, strong in faith and will, are leading a worthwhile life full of energy despite their advanced age.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un sent a birthday spread to Ham Se Hwan, one of those fighters, on his 90th birthday.

Ham was born into a poor peasant family in Ongjin County of South Hwanghae Province on January 18, Juche 21 (1932) and had to undergo sorrow as a stateless nation. After Korea's liberation, he came to realize, witnessing the reality in the northern half of the Republic, that true happiness can only be achieved under the care of President Kim Il Sung.

That's why he took an active part in the guerilla struggle against the heinous maneuvers of the anti-reunification forces within and without and bravely fought for the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War before being captured by the enemy.

During his 34 years of imprisonment, he never succumbed to the enemies' unimaginable, barbaric tortures, appeasement and deception. After his release from prison, he had devoted himself to the movement for national reunification.

Chairman Kim Jong Il, the supreme incarnation of revolutionary comradeship and obligation, took a step to bring Ham and other unconverted long-term prisoners in south Korea back to the DPRK and put them forward as heroes of the Republic and winners of the National Reunification Prize.

Ham Se Hwan and his family extended their feelings of gratitude to Kim Jong Un who glorifies a revolutionary soldier's life.
