Attending it were members and alternate members of the Central Committee of the youth league. Officials of the Central Committee of the youth league and those of the league committees in ministries, national institutions, provinces, cities and counties were present as observers.

The meeting discussed as its main agenda items the issues of thoroughly implementing the tasks for the year 2022 of the five-year plan set forth at the 8th Party Congress and the great fighting programme for the Korean-style socialist rural construction, etc.

Mun Chol, chairman of the SPYL Central Committee, made a report on the agenda items.

The reporter noted that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un at the 4th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Party Central Committee highly praised the youths, saying it is a remarkable political success that they have been in high spirits, as evidenced by such facts that many of them volunteered to work in difficult and labor-consuming fields and did good deeds touching the people's hearts.

He analyzed in detail the experience and lessons drawn from the youth league organizations' work for carrying out the important tasks set forth at the 8th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea and plenary meetings of the Party Central Committee and referred to the tasks for glorifying this year as a year of great revolutionary auspicious events and great victory.

He said that the league organizations should prepare the youths politically, ideologically and culturally and train them to be masters of socialist rural communities with profound scientific and technological knowledge through the unique and effective work for stepping up the three revolutions - ideological, technological and cultural.

He called on all the youths to fulfill their mission and duty as an advancing group and wing of the Party in the struggle to thoroughly implement the tasks for the year 2022 of the five-year plan set forth at the 8th Party Congress and the great fighting programme for the Korean-style socialist rural construction by redoubling their efforts with confidence in victory.
