Attending it were members and alternate members of the GFTUK Central Committee. Officials of the Central Committee and provincial, city and county committees of the GFTUK were present as observers.

The meeting discussed the issues of thoroughly implementing the tasks for the year 2022 of the five-year plan set forth at the 8th Party Congress and the great fighting programme for the Korean-style socialist rural construction, etc.

Pak In Chol, chairman of the GFTUK Central Committee, made a report on agenda items.

The reporter analyzed and reviewed in detail the successes, experience and lessons drawn from the work of the first year for implementing the decisions of the 8th Party Congress and referred to the ways for decisively improving and intensifying the work of the trade unions as required by the developing reality.

He said that the trade union organizations at all levels would have to help all their members perform steady miracles and feats in the ongoing struggle for fresh victory in socialist construction by conducting various effective mass movements that contribute to providing a firm guarantee for the implementation of the five-year plan and bringing about a clear change in the development of the state and the improvement of the people's living standard.

He called for establishing the socialist lifestyle, further intensifying the campaign against anti- and non-socialist practices and accepting it as a duty proper to a citizen and vital demand to strictly observe the epidemic prevention rules and orders and making it part of life and habit.

He urged the trade union officials and members to positively contribute to bringing about great and innovative changes every year under the programme for rural construction by grappling with the work to implement the Party's policy on the socialist rural construction in a revolutionary way.

He stressed the need to glorify their honor of being the eldest sons of the country and the vanguard in the all-people general advance for bringing about the overall development of Korean-style socialism with confidence in victory under the invincible guidance of the great Party.

The meeting adopted relevant resolutions after studying draft resolutions.
