North Phyongan Province, which achieved successes in building dwellings last year, set it as its goal to build many dwellings in Sinuiju City and has pushed ahead with the work for building up its construction forces.

The province is stepping up the work to reinforce the manpower of city and county construction brigades, provide them with construction equipment and organize courses for skilled builders. It also pays attention to improving the practical ability of designers while striving to provide necessary equipment and facilities for city designing at an early date.

South Hwanghae Province mobilizes all the designers to map out the miniatures of dwelling houses for the city and counties. It is making preparations to successfully hold an exhibition of construction equipment and tools.

South Hamgyong Province steps up the work for completing the designs of dwelling houses in cooperation with a central design group while dispatching officials of relevant sectors and dozens of designers to cities and counties to confirm the construction sites. It is also directing efforts to the establishment of a production process for tiles for interior walls.

Other provinces, too, put spurs to strengthening the building execution forces and vitalizing the building materials production bases.
