Astronomical Phenomena to Be Seen in DPRK This Year
Pyongyang, January 27 (KCNA) -- Several astronomical phenomena are expected to happen in the DPRK this year.

In this regard, Kang Chang Hyok, section chief of the Pyongyang Observatory of the State Academy of Sciences, told KCNA:

Notably, a full moon will not rise on February 15, Jongwoldaeborum (the fifteenth day of the first month by the lunar calendar). That day a slightly declining moon will appear at about 16:36. A full moon will be seen on Feb. 17.

The largest moon of this year will come out at about 20:12 of August 12.

A total lunar eclipse is to be seen on Nov. 8. It will begin at around 18:09 and end at about 21:45 with the maximum eclipse at about 20:01.
