Provincial meetings of activists in the agricultural field was aimed to make all the agricultural workers glorify the significant year 2022, the 110th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung and the 80th birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il, as a year of rich harvest and one of fresh victory while cementing the achievements made in last year's farming.

The meetings analyzed and reviewed the good farming experiences and lessons drawn from the struggle of the first year for implementing the decisions made at the Party congress and discussed the practical matters for producing a high yield in this year's farming in line with the characteristics of relevant area.

Attending the meetings were exemplary innovators, scientists and officials of the agricultural production units, institutes of agricultural science and relevant units taking the lead in carrying out the Party's agricultural policy.

Jong San Hak, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Jae Ryong, Ho Chol Man, Ri Chol Man and Ju Chang Il, department directors of the C.C., WPK, and other leading officials of the Party Central Committee guided the meetings.

Briefed in the reports were the achievements made in the struggle for attaining the goal of grain production in the first year of the new five-year plan set forth at the 8th Party Congress.

Reporters said that the proud achievements made in the agricultural field last year are the brilliant fruition brought about by the outstanding leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who illuminated the road ahead of the agricultural field in the van and led the whole course of the yearly farming step by step the year round.

They stressed that Kim Jong Un set it as the state's crucial affair to upgrade agriculture at the 8th Party Congress and energetically led the agricultural workers to certainly attain the goal of grain production under the slogans "Let's defend socialism with increased rice production!" and "Let's defend our revolution with increased rice production!"

Introduced in the reports were data of patriotic farmers who devoted themselves to the increased grain production despite difficult conditions.

The reporters referred to the fact that a reliable path to increased grain yield was opened and valuable experiences, asset for the development of agriculture, were gained in the course of the struggle for hitting the goal of grain production in the first year of the five-year plan.

Reviewed in the reports were a series of deviations found among officials who failed to do operation and technical guidance over farming in a far-sighted way and lessons drawn from those who failed to raise the zeal of agricultural workers for production in a responsible manner.

Mentioned there were practical ways for officials and workers in the agricultural field to defend the Party Central Committee with substantial successes of agricultural production and certainly attain the goal of grain production set forth at the 4th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Party Central Committee, bearing again in mind the decisions of the Party congress.

The reports called upon all the units of the agricultural field to pay the greatest attention to cementing the rural position by pushing forward the programme for socialist rural construction, holding higher the banner of the three revolutions-ideological, technical and cultural.

The reporters appealed to all the agricultural workers to make this year another year of a bumper crop by further raising the indomitable fighting spirit and revolutionary mettle displayed last year and thus uphold our great Party with increased grain production and hasten a fresh victory of Korean-style socialism.

Speeches were made at the meetings.

Speakers expressed their determination to bring earlier the future of rich and civilized socialist countryside good to live in with our own efforts, wisdom and strenuous efforts while reaping a good harvest in every field again this significant year.

At the meetings, tractors sent by Kim Jong Un were handed over to the farms and workteams that reaped a high yield and displayed noble patriotic deeds, true to the decisions made at the 8th Congress of the WPK.

At the meetings Party and state commendations were awarded to patriotic farmers, officials, scientists and technicians who made a big contribution to boosting the grain production by raising the hot wind of scientific farming and high-yielding farming.

Prizes were awarded to the farms that took the lead in implementing the Party's policy on agricultural revolution.

Recited at several provincial meetings of activists in the agricultural field were congratulatory poems by members of the children's union. Commendations of the Central Committee of the UAWK and provincial committee of the UAWK, and rotating silk banners and trophy cups were awarded to the counties, farms, workteams and sub-work teams that set an example in the socialist emulation for hitting the target of every farming season.

Letters of pledge to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the meetings.

During the period of the meetings, the participants acquired advanced farming science and technology, and exchanged and shared their excellent farming experiences through training courses, multi-media shows, seminars and tours all meant for registering bigger success in grain production this year on the basis of the experiences and lessons drawn from last year's farming. They also watched congratulatory performances.
