By giving primary effort to ensuring the security of the railway transport and raising the active ratio of locomotives and freight cars to the maximum, the bureau increased the freight transport 125 percent as compared with the same period of last year.

The West Pyongyang Service Brigade of Engine and the Sinsongchon Service Brigade of Engine are transporting much amount of freight every day by actively introducing advanced driving methods suited to technical conditions of railway.

The Chonsong and Jikdong railway stations acquaint themselves with the reality of securing coal for thermal power plants in detail at coal mines and send much amount of coal to leading power bases of the country by properly carrying on the dispatch of freight cars and increasing the passing quantity of freight.
