Heavy Snowfall Witnessed in Areas South of DPRK's Central West Coast

Pyongyang, February 1 (KCNA) -- Heavy snowfall was witnessed in Pyongyang and other areas south of central west coast of the DPRK from 15:00 on Jan. 31 to 09:00 on Feb. 1.

According to statistics, 22 centimeters of snowfall was observed in Pyongyang, 20 centimeters in Songhwa County of South Hwanghae Province, and 17 and 16 centimeters respectively in Sinyang and Yangdok counties of South Phyongan Province.

Over 7 centimeters of snowfall was witnessed per hour in Samchon and Songhwa counties of South Hwanghae Province, Hyongjesan District, Ryongsong District and Kangdong County of Pyongyang, Phyongsong City and Songchon County of South Phyongan Province and Taean District of Nampho City.
